Belly Dance
Middle Eastern Belly Dance
Learn basic bell dance, movements,
combinations plus original choreography movements in our
beginner-friendly class. All ages, body types, and learning styles
are welcome!
Class begins with dance stretches and core
strengthening exercises, combined with basics of belly dance form.
Your instructor will show and teach you how muscle-group isolation
leads into movement combinations ranging from sinuous muscular torso
undulations to lively shimmies, walks and turns.
Belly dancing provides an excellent core
body workout perfectly suited to the feminine physique. Gain
strength, flexibility & grace while having fun! All ages &
body types encouraged and as and added bonus each
class will have an opportunity to learn an original choreography
dance.

Teacher Bio:
Jillanna
Babb-Cheshul earned her BA (fine arts) at Amherst College; her MA
(art history) at University of Massachusetts, and midwifery & doula
certificates through WomanCraft Midwifery. Her academic
specialty was Modern art, African & Islamic art.
She has
studied & performed belly dance since 1999. Her visual &
verbal arts career began more than a decade ago, including numerous
gallery exhibitions, publications, & performances. She enjoys
teaching creative arts, art history, & women’s health workshops.
Jillanna is a mother (2 girls), doula (labor assistant), and founder
of Mountain Mothers Birth Network.
